Introducing the Honest Picture Socials

There is a lot of recent focus on sustainability, but is there enough focus on its visual messaging?

Welcome to our socials page, where we share insights from our critical analysis and research into the intriguing realm of sustainability pictures. Our analyses brought out in our blog and other social media platforms is your compass through the intricate visual sustainability landscape. It is our aim through these posts to engage in both theoretical and practical discussions to explore the intersection of visual theory and sustainability. By doing this, we hope to be able to expose greenwashing from a sustainability picture perspective, a topic that is often acknowledged, yet overlooked in the wider sustainability discourse.

Our long form analysis is hosted on Medium which is our primary blog location. Our short form analysis is available on Instagram, Reddit and X(formerly twitter). On these platforms, we highlight key sustainability news, participate in conversations about greenwashing and sustainability picture use and share snippets from our blog.

Each of our blog posts can be read in isolation. However, the reader will find it beneficial to also read our pages that describe our methodology, rationale, and the resources that we offer. These are often referred to in our various posts. With the increased use of pictures in sustainability communication, a critical issue has emerged- the lack of accountability in the use of sustainability pictures, and this is precisely what we aim to address through our blog as well as our project on the whole.

Our commitment to transparency and honest picture use in sustainability communication drives our mission. As you navigate our social pages, you'll gain valuable insights, find inspiration for honest sustainability communication, and join a community dedicated to exposing greenwashing practices and promoting genuine sustainability. We hope that you will find these useful in your sustainability journey.

In this age of visual media saturation, the ethical complexity of picture use in communication becomes paramount, especially so in the sustainability context.
